We hope everyone had a wonderful winter break! Can you believe that the year is almost half way over? The second marking period ends on January 20th. Don’t forget there is no school on January 16 in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and January 23rd for a teacher professional day.

We wanted give a special shout out to Debi Asai for all of her hard work on our Fall Harvest Festival, thanks to Karen Ward for putting on yet another fantastic BINGO night, Julie Long for the lovely Grandparents Tea, Michelle Rasmussen for her hard work with the Book Fair, Nikki Haddad for her work on the sunshine committee, and Sandy Nail for her ongoing work with staff appreciation! Thank you so much!

Now that fall is over and winter has arrived, we are gearing up for more fantastic events including spirit nights at India Palace, Red Robin and Chick-Fil-A, Read Aloud Day, and Around the World Night.

Our READ-A-THON fundraiser will begin in a couple weeks. 100% of all money donated will go to the PTA to help fund school programs. Please be on the lookout for more information coming home to back packs soon.

We can never say thank you enough to all our parents for the support you give to our teachers, staff, and the PTA.

Coming Soon!!! William Gibbs PTA Presents Scholastic's To The Book Fair and Beyond! Reading is Out of this World!

• Book Fair Dates: December 2-9
• Location: William Gibbs Media Center
• Book Fair Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.*
• Extended Hours - Tuesday, December 6th & Thursday, December 8th 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• Early Closure - Friday, December 9th at 11:00 a.m.

*Students must be accompanied by an adult to come to the Book Fair between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.
