Thank you for participating in our Scholastic book fair event, we sold over 1225 books!! If you missed the winter book fair, no worries, we are going to have another one in the Spring!! We wanted to thank all the volunteers who helped with the book fair, we definitely would not have been able to run it without your support. Please let us know if you did not get a book fair voucher. We also thank our VP Grace Callaway for organizing and taking time off work to make sure everything was running smoothly.
A Couple of PTA Reminders:
Around the World is just around the corner on Jan 20th. Please use the sign up below if you would like to represent your country or your culture. Families can volunteer to make posters, food, have performances or anything else you can think of. Set up will start at 5:00 pm and the event will end at 8 pm. Right now we have families signed up to represent Denmark and Jordan. More than one family can represent a culture or country. The PTA will work to have each family collaborate.

We have also opened up registration for Gibbs Got Talent on May 19th. If you would like to sign your child or a group of children up, please use the link below. Please read the requirements below.
DATES:5/12 Gibbs Got Talent Rehearsal at Seneca Valley H.S. Auditorium5/19 Gibbs Got Talent Show at Seneca Valley H.S. Auditorium SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Friday, March 31st Only Space for 35 acts that are 2 mins or less in length. If there are more than 35 submissions we will hold auditions with priority given to 5th graders. - Each child may only perform in one act. - All performers must be a Gibbs ES Student - No Lip-syncing, singers are encouraged to use an accompanist or pre-recorded background music with no vocals (karaoke version) - Bring all needed props and musical instruments (except piano) - You must supply a copy of your script if performing a skit, comedy routine or dramatic reading. - Bring pre-recorded music on a smart device; parents are required to play music from their smart device, a CD player will not be provided. - All acts must be in good taste and appropriate for an elementary school talent show. Acts with inappropriate language/context for children will be eliminated from the show. Additionally, costumes must be appropriately modest.
